This is a Philadelphia and Reading Railway freight bill showing goods delivered to I.G. Sprecher's Sons in Ephrata, Pa., for November 1-3, 1906. The bill was for $4.51 in freight charges and is stamped paid by Station Agent P.S. Frederick. Some of the items listed are stoves, axle grease, and a barrel of lamp oil. Sprecher's was a local purveyor of hardware that became a town institution in Ephrata, having opened in 1868. It remained in business until 2000.
Note the 'P & R Ry' watermark in the paper visible on the rear of the bill. It has been reversed for visibilty in the final photo below.
